Dr. Jay graduated from Auburn University in 1991 with a degree in Animal and Dairy Science and from the Auburn College of Veterinary Medicine in 1995. He then completed a two-year rotating internship in Las Vegas before returning home to serve as Medical Director at Double Oak Mountain Animal Hospital for 9 years. He then became a Professional Services Veterinarian for Pfizer Animal Health/Zoetis, receiving extensive continuing education and training while working with veterinarians all over the USA for seven years. He then returned to private practice in 2013 when he purchased 280 AMC. Dr. Crisman has a special interest in surgery, including orthopedics and advanced soft tissue procedures, and has more than 20 years of experience with surgical laser. He is passionate about the patient/client experience and maintaining a hospitality centered practice culture.
Dr. Jay serves on the Westover City Council, is Chairman of the Westover Business Alliance, and is on the Executive Board of the JCVMA. Dr. Crisman and his wife Jennifer are members of Wilsonville Baptist Church and have two Children, James and Liz, and one grandchild Wyatt. They have four American Eskimo dogs (Kai, Kailani, Keko and Laci) and a cat named Cookie. Hobbies include fly fishing, archery, “tractor time”, and family.
