Appointments are available for office exams Monday through Saturday for annual check-ups or any other concerns that you may have. We schedule 30 minute visits to provide plenty of time with your doctor. We respectfully request that you schedule an appointment to make your visit as efficient as possible.

Many of the most frustrating and costly concerns we see are totally preventable! Our primary goal is to help you avoid medical trouble and to keep your furry family member happy and healthy. Nursing Excellence





The 280AMC Nursing team features six licensed Veterinary Technicians (LVT). These special individuals have completed professional training and are graduates of a certified college program who have also passed a national board examination and state board examination. Just like the veterinarians, these professionals are required to complete annual continuing education to refine their skills. We also have outstanding Veterinary Assistants that work with the LVT and DVM staff to provide the best care possible for our patients and their people.

A healthy mouth is essential to the overall health and longevity in your furry family member. “Doggie breath” is sometimes due to dental infection. We provide oral health assessment, dental assessment, treatment, and prevention procedures that will restore fresh breath and smiles while reducing the risk of painful tooth loss and associated medical issues. Intraoral radiography (dental x rays) allow us to evaluate oral health below the gumline and is included with every procedure at NO additional cost!



Feline Services





We LOVE cats! Our doctors have a special interest in feline medicine and we have a special exam room just for cats – no dog cooties allowed! We find that our feline patients appreciate a slower pace. Having calming pheromones and a litter box in the room, along with a baby blanket on the table, makes the visit less stressful. Our staff members are trained in feline friendly handling techniques. It is very important that cats see the doctor each year like dogs.



Fitness and Fun





We are proud to be the home of WestRover Water Sports and Agility Training, located behind the practice. Classes are available for beginning and intermediate agility, as well as dock diving. Diagnostics





Our patients can't talk to us so diagnostic testing is even more important than in human medicine. We are proud to offer a full IDEXX on-site lab for rapid in-house results including blood testing and analysis. Our digital radiography (X Ray) is the highest quality available and gives us outstanding images in seconds. Human quality ultrasound gives us a better look inside when necessary. A doctor will review results and images with you right in the exam room.

Advanced Surgical Procedures





State of the art technology and training allows our doctors to perform advanced procedures and diagnostics. Subspecialty surgeries including orthopedic surgeries like fractures, CCL/ACL knee injuries, and patella luxation are commonly performed. We also offer oronasal surgery, anorectal surgery, cystostomy, and other advanced soft tissue procedures. Minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery is a terrific option to shorten recovery times and provide the best experience possible for our patients. With laparoscopic technique, spay recovery time is cut in half and it becomes an outpatient procedure. Medical Boarding





We are proud to provide medically supervised boarding for patients with special needs. For example, patients on medications, patients with diabetes on medications, senior patients with mobility issues, or seizure patients. Our kennels have comfy Kuranda Beds and outside exercise areas. Our accommodations are medically supervised and squeaky clean. Guests enjoy five walks each day and get lots of attention – all at no extra charge.

Space is limited, so please plan ahead and make reservations early for holidays and popular travel times.

Hospitalization





In addition to a caring and professional staff, our treatment area features hospital comfy spots with heated floors for rest and recovery. We are also equipped with a full service ICU containing oxygen capabilities. We have multiple automated IV fluid pumps and a recently remodeled isolation area for contagious patients. Visitation is welcome and encouraged while your furry friend is on the road to recovery.



Urgent Care





This service is designed to give you access by mobile phone to one of our doctors in the event of an after hours emergency or situation where you need reliable advice. We are proud to be able to provide our clients with access to a doctor everyday until 9 p.m., including weekends and holidays. We do not operate a 24-hour emergency clinic but can typically meet our clients to provide care when necessary.
